Being half Dullahan, Anrai grew up mostly among humans, keeping his Demonic parentage secret as best as possible. Growing up, he always wanted to help Demons and other Monsters. This lead him to become a Demon Herder.

Becoming a Demon Herder wasn’t nearly as difficult as he expected, but the job itself was tough. More often than not, the conflicts they were called to mediate escalated to fights. Demon Herders have a high job mortality rate. On the job, Anrai was partnered with a man named August (who prefers being called Auggie) and a woman named Mina. August was a Demon Herder who specialized in mediation and needed a partner who was good in battle to watch his back. Mina was a medic working for the Demon Herders. Anrai was a perfect fit to their trio, according to Auggie.

Personality

Anrai is not the most personable, but he tries his best. He tends to forget that he has resting bitch face and is usually seen with a frown. Despite his face looking mean, Anrai is quite sweet. He hates being touched and avoids handshakes and prefers to keep to himself.

Mina

Mina is the only person who knows Anrai's secret. She helps keep his head sewn on (it requires a lot of Mana to keep it on by himself). Other than that, Anrai and Mina are close friends.
